That is a wonderful quote and it has one I have been living for quite a while now. The thing that amazes me most is when we recognize our dysfuntion in the heat of the moment and still can’t stop it from emerging.
Decent advice, but sometimes we’re not aware of how our traumas and dysfunction negatively affect both us and others around us until an event or a person makes us aware of it. Some unhealthy ways of being and relating to others are more easily fixed than others.
